This WhatsApp trick lets you send high-quality photos and videos in full resolution

If you're tired of WhatsApp compressing your pics and videos, there's good news for iPhone users. An update adds the option to send full-res media.

WhatsApp for iOS now allows you to send photos and videos in full resolution, without compression, up to a maximum file size of 2GB.
To send uncompressed photos or videos, open the chat, tap the + (plus) icon, select Document, choose your photo or video, and tap the Send icon. Recipients can view the full-size file by tapping the file name in the chat.
This feature is currently only available on iOS. It's unclear if it will be rolled out to Android users in the future. It's important to note that sending photos in full resolution uses more data and may not be suitable for mobile network usage. Remember to take precautions to protect your privacy when sharing sensitive media.
